What is hyperopia? (Farsightedness)

Farsightedness or hyperopia is a condition in which objects at far distances are seen more clearly than objects that are near. With farsightedness, the eyeball is shorter than normal and the eye does not have enough power to focus close objects clearly.

Farsighted people can see distant objects, but objects close up appear blurred.
